Returning Home

 She only heard the sound of the engine pulling in,

"He's here," A females voice said from the kitchen. She spoke to the 3 kids sitting at the window of their home.

"is it him?" One of the kids asked their mother who only replied with a chuckle.

The car in the driveway was now at a complete stop. The doors open slowly and the male who steps out pulls out a bag.

The house's front door swings open and the three children run to the male in joy.

"Daddy, Your home" The children repeated while hugging the male's legs

"Look how much you have grown, now where is your mother..." The male looks at the door hoping to see the mother of his kids waiting there, but to his surprise, she wasn't there

"Mommies in the kitchen, daddy whos your friends..." A little girl speaks 

"nothing just daddies work friends," He said walking towards the house, He could smell it. The smell of his favorite dish. What caught his attention was the sound of his wife as she sang to her own music with no beat.

The male takes a seat and smiles. The female stops and look "Lawrence?"
